Regulation and Care Standards

Assisting and supporting homes facing regulatory challenges, such as adverse inspection reports, low Star Ratings and enforcement action, and advising on essential documentation such as the Statement of Purpose and Service User Guide.

We have considerable knowledge of the practical application of the law in relation to the Care Standards Act 2000.

We are skilled in writing Improvement Plans in response to statutory requirements and enforcement action, and will help guide owners and managers through the process of compliance.

We also regularly write Statements of Purpose and Service User Guides on behalf of care home and agency owners.

Human Resources

Aurora Care Group currently provide specifically tailored Human Resources Solutions to Health and Social Care Providers across the North of England.

After years of providing Consultancy Services to a wide-range of Health and Social Care Providers from all different backgrounds one thing was essentially clear. That many of the services Aurora was operating the Registered Manager was becoming preoccupied with many of the day to day HR Tasks of running a normal business.

Normally, this would not be a problem. However, HR in Health and Social Care can be completely different to that of the office. One such example, is the trouble of counterbalancing compliance with all forms of employment law with compliance with The Health and Social Care Act (2008) Regulations (2014) and then any local authority regulations.

Therefore, Aurora Care Group developed a shared service centre for those on Management Contracts with the company too free up the time and resources of the Registered Manager to enable them to actually manage the service effectively. The level of service provided by Aurora in this area differs dependent on the package that you have with the company it can range from having all of your HR Needs (Employment documentation, employment law advice, employee relations case handling, TUPE advice / consultation, redundancy consultation / guidance, recruitment for all positions, absence management… effectively everything you would expect of a fully functioning HR Department) or alternatively, some of our clients prefer to just use the shared service centre as an advice and guidance line to managers and to assist with documentation.

Aurora can also analyse compliance with regards to training and development and are comitted to working closely with our partners to provide all of your employees with nationally recognised qualifications and upskilling

The great thing about having your HR outsourced to Aurora Care Group for Health and Social Care Providers is that we work closely with the consultants and operations team to ensure that all advice and documentation provided satisfy CQC and Local Authority needs for that particular service.

The shared service centre is located in Liverpool and our advisers currently travel to any provider across the north of England although we are more than willing to travel further if needed.

For more information contact Head Office on 0191 580 050 and ask for HR.
